Suppose an object is sliding w/ a speed less than escape velocity, on an infinite frictionless plane in contact with the surface of Earth. Describe its motion. (Will it slide forerve at a constant velocity? Will it slide to a stop? In what way will its energy changes be similar tothat of a pendulum?)

If two lorries are driving beside each other on a motorway, the air flowing between them casues a vacuum-like effect - as does standing on a platform when a train passes through - however I can't remember what the scientific word is for this! If you can, then please tell me! Thank you very much! -x-

marble 1 has an initial velocity of 15.5 m/s and collides elastically with marbles 2 and 3 which are at rest and touching one another. Marble 1 is twice the mass but equal size to the other two marbles. If marble 1 is directed right at the contact point of the other two marbles, find the velocity of (a) marble 2, (b) marble 3 and (c) marble 1.
I will try to draw the figure but assume marbel2 and 3 are touching in figure.
________Marbel2 (o)
Marbel 1(o)----------->
________Marbel3 (o)

acc to relation E=mc^2 if weight of man is 60 kg so total energy related to him is 180*10^8kj. But if a man dies and burnt than only 1 or 2 kg of ash is left and energy related to it is only 3*10^8 kj.
so where does rest of energy goes.
which is approx. 177*10^8 kj

With the sun behind me and a pole in front of me I move my hand such that my hand's shadow approaches the pole's shadow. As my shadow draws nearer, the pole's shadow stretches out to meet my hand's shadow (it is always the shadow of the front object that stretches). Why does this occur?
