I would say yes for two reasons........ The lightning can run in on the phone line. Secondly, it could run in through your electricity. Either way, it's best just to stay off the computer, phone, etc during lightning.........

dude, you can be struck by lightening anytime, anywhere there is a storm (unless you are in a Faraday cage)
