It is because it has a combination of biology and chemistry? it focuses on enzymes, protein, DNA, and more. Why is a biochemistry better then say Microbiology or molecular biology? I assume biochemistry gives students a firm background of biology.

I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in the esophagus. They did some fine-needle procedures to scrape it out and for the last 15 months of biopsys every 3 months, there have been no more cells found. My last biopsy shows they found squamous cells. These are precancerous cells. I was wondering if anyone has heard of getting a few chemo treatments for this? Or do I just have to wait and see what happens?

He has no body hair whatsoever now, and his Dr. says it's permanent. Can Celexa really do that to a person? This just sounds so bizarre to me.

We have to do a report in class. I have been searching the internet, but I can only find common ones, and I want to write about an original and interesting disease.

and was told by the doctor yesterday that it will be the cause of my death. I am 36 with a 4 year old son. Single mum too. It is a matter of when I was told. It was made clear to me I will die before I am 40 if I do not give up smoking. So, IT MUST BE DONE! I do not drink and although I do suffer with chest complaints and always have from aged 14, was wondering what other lifestyle changes I can make? My son needs his Mum and I love my life...I have noo desire for it to end! But I was in so much shock yesterday when I saw the doctor, I did not take in all he said. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN...Thanks..x

I am suffering with a stomach virus. Tons of gas, diarrhea, no vomiting. For 5 days now. As I am 2 yrs post-gastric bypass, I thought this was a by-product. I know others who have had that surgery who have had this happen.

But I am thinking it might not be related at all. And because I am at a new job, my health insurance will not go into effect for 13 more days. So no doctor’s visit is possible.

Does anyone know if stool that is dark green is a problem? Or, indicative of a larger issue? I am TERRIFIED about that. That began last night. Everyone I have spoken to has made me clarify if it is “black” or dark green. Clearly, black is a huge issue. It is not black at all, but dark green. And no, I have not eaten any vegetables in the last 72 hours.

If this is just a stomach virus, I can deal with it. If it is something bigger, I am too frightened to say what I will do. Have stuck to toast, chicken broth, Gatorade and cranberry juice for the last 2 days. Will do so today, too.
