For example, red blood cells constantly die but more are regenerated. I've heard that eye cells stay the same the entire life, but unsure whether that's true.

I'm thinking of conducting some research into CT urology (kidneys, ureter and bladder) and patient positioning for identifying the position of renal calculi. Doctors I have worked within placement in hospitals around Wales either position their patients supine (on their back) or prone (on there front) and I'm wondering if there are reasons behind their technique?? Also, is the patients position written in protocols or is it purely doctors preference?? Any help with answering my questions would be gratefully recieved, thanks!!

This test is seen early in severe bacterial diseases when there are a large number of immature neutrophils (band cells) instead of the more mature neutrophils (segs). What test is it?

Ok, i've been reading answers to these kinds of questions and theres
always someone telling people not to commit suicide. I know that you guys mean good but I'm only asking out of pure curiosity. I DO NOT intend, in any way, to commit suicide. So if you've got a a good answer to my question then please answer but if all you're going to say is don't commit suicide then thank you for your concern but I'm not a suicidal person. Thanks in advance.

I am serious here, no bashers or anything, I personally do not use drugs and the mere thought of something going up my nose freaks me out. I have a friend who is about to do this so I really want to know if they will get a rush or just nothing will happen or what. I know it has to be dangerous, so no answers telling the dangers please unless it's an unusual danger (not something that every street drug has a risk for). Thanks!

A person with hemolytic anemia can also present with jaundice.

A major concern with hemolytic anemia is maintenance of liver function.

Intravascular extrinsic hemolytic anemia results from blood transfusion reactions.

When people eat too much carbs, and the glucose level rises too high, the body will convert the excess glucose to glycogen (which is stored in the liver?) and triglycerides (fat?).

Does the liver go... ok, this batch of glucose will become glycogen. Then when the next batch comes in, it goes, well, now I feel like some triglycerides. Or are both the output of the same process?

If they are not result of the same process, how does the liver know when to make glycogen and when to make triglycerides?

Thanks.
