Please don't ingest it.
It might be "MELOXICAM".
Meloxicam is in a class of drugs called non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are used to treat pain and/or inflammation, for example arthritis.

On rxlist.com, I was able to search by imprint code. However, "m 89" was not found. I also searched for "m89" and "89" with nothing coming up. On google search engine, I searched for "m89", "m 89", ""m 89" drug", "m89 drug", and "89 drug" with nothing pertinent in the results.
Are you sure that it reads "m 89"? Could it be a vitamin, supplement, or for animals?

If you had an idea of what it might be used for, you can find a lot of photos + descriptions at the following web site. Just keep in mind, there are lots and lots of different drugs.

I wouldn't try to ingest it, whatever it is. There are reference books that show pictures of pills from which you may be able to identify it.
