I am a R.N. and in a few months time I am about to take my NCLEX in Ca. We all know that in order to work in the U.S. we need to pass that exam and in order to get the permit to take the test, each state has a different sets of requirement. I just want to ask that if ever I passed that licensure exam, will my licensure be limited only to the state where I got my license or could I practice my career as a nurse in any sate in the U.S.?

What i noticed was that in U.S. and especially Canada there is a huge shortage of doctors. Even though the government realizes this they do soo little.
For example just to let you guys know since i live in ontario Canada over here there are a total of 400-420 total spaces for medical schools and just for those there are nearly 10,000 people applying for it!
University of Toronto has 228 spots and nearly 5,000 people apply their alone! and recently they just increased the spaces by adding around 20+ seats. :-P
If it is such a big concern then why the hell cant government just make more spaces @ med. school and make it easier for themselves and the people of their country!
Please share your thoughts on this.

I have been in a years long debate about the negative effects of marijuana use. MY friend challenged me to find "ANY evidence" from real scientific research that shows it is harm full in any way. I immediately remembered this forum. I could use some assistance to prove it is not good for humans to use it.

I had a fractured heel and now I experience constant pain. I also have pain in my hip and knee. I saw on tv how athletes have injuries, get something rubbed on the joint and keep on going as if nothing was wrong.

Just wondering out of say 20 wannabees who take the path to become a doctor starting at high school, how many will suceed to intern year? To all docs out there, were you a straight A student in highschool, college or med school? Does obtaining impossibly good grades the general presequite for a medical profession?

i only had my uterus removed, but my ovaries and tubes were good, so they stayed in. over the 4 years since, i have gotten cramping not every month, but some months, exactly like when i had my period. is this what is called "phantom" pain, or is it that i am still ovulating? since i do not have a cervix anymore, cramping doesn't make any sense.

My doctor has prescribed this for a long time for anxiety problems. 30 mg per day, I have developed a tolerance to this so much I dont feel any diffrent when I take it. Does anyone know what 100th of a milligram is in compared to 30 milligrams. I know I am tested when I stopped or dramatically reduced it still test positive. I need your answers, I have been trying to slowly get off this medicine.

I am considering blending a sulfa antiseptic with tincture of iodine. I have read one source stating that the antiseptic property of povidone-iodine (iodophor) is deactivated by sulfur compounds, but I cannot deduce that this also applies to a simple solution of iodine in ethanol too.
