A friend of mine thinks that the government has the cure for cancer but they are making to much money treating the illness to even want to cure it, because they would lose money if the disease wasn't around any more.

Why is the HPV vaccine aimed at young girls? Certainly HPV can lead to cervical cancer which is deadly but shouldn't a vaccine be aimed at both men and women? Is there some reason all coverage to present has focused on girls recieving the vaccine and making mention of cervical cancer? HPV can also lead to cancer of the penis but this is never mentioned. Any urologists, physicians or anyone with thoughts, ideas as to what the deal is?

I live in Atlanta. GA. I am 43 and perimenopausal. I would like to donate what eggs I have left that can be harvested for stem cell research. I have a friend with Multiple Sclerosis and I want to do anything I can to help find a cure. If you're against stem cell research, don't bother replying. You won't change my mind.

I saw a lady with a bandage on her chin. She said she was bitten by a brown recluse spider and that it laid eggs under her skin. Is this possible (the egg laying, not the biting)?

I am working with a group of researchers on a new medical treatment for the scalp. We DESPERATELY need help in finding a practical way to lift and separate hair on the head. We have thought of different clips, static electricity, suction, velcro and lots of other ideas but none of them has really worked. So if you think of a way for any of the above to work (except the static electricity which we already have definitely ruled out) or have a different idea, please share your creativity and brainstorming with us.

The method has to hold the hair up for about 15 minutes so that a light treatment can reach the scalp without the hair interfering and blocking the light.

Any really really smart out-of-the-box thinkers out there?

Who is watching and checking their research results? Who is really in control of the outcome of trials. How much does the public get informed about, except when drugs go wrong and cause problems--even after the FDA approves them?
