CRITICAL THINKING
Your friend states in a report that the average time to circle a 1.5-mi track was 65.414 s. This was measured by timing 7 laps using a clock with a precision of 0.1 s. How much confidence do you have in the results of the report? Explain.

csc x=-2; x in QIV; cot x=?
tan x=3; x in QIII; sin x=?

I think i know the answer to the first one. The Tan would be -1/sqrt3 (you dont have to rationalize) so the cot would be -sqrt3/1 correct?
Thanks!

In each minute a pump draws 2.4m³ of water from a well 5m below ground, and issues it at ground level through a pipe of cross-sectional area 50cm². find:
a) The speed with which the water leaves the pipe
b) the rate at which the pump is working.
If in fact the pump is only 75% efficient (i.e. 25% of the power is lost in the running of the pump), find the rate at which it must work.

Is there a website that could tell me how to imput exponents, square roots, and all those other mathy symbols that don't exist on the keyboard? I like being able to do this kind of thing without always copy-pasting, since I use an IME and type with symbols from other languages.

Diana’s favourite coin is a dime. She has a whole bunch of them – she does not know exactly
how many, but she is sure that she has fewer than 250. One day she was arranging them on her
desk in different ways. She found the following:
• When she put them in piles of three, there was 1 dime left over.
• When she put them in piles of four, there was 1 dime left over.
• When she put them in piles of five, there was none left over.
How many dimes does Diana have? Is there only one possible answer?

T^3 + 3T - 12T + 4
_______________
T^3 - 4T

The part is factored like (T-2)(T^2 + 5T -2), when multiplied back would give you T^3 + 3T - 12T + 4 (the numerator). Question is: WHY is it (T-2)? What's the logic behind choosing (T-2)?

The area of one such sheet of paper is 0.0549m^2

A second sheet of paper is three-quarters as long and three-quarters as wide as the one described in part (a). By what factor is its area less than the area found in part(a)?

I understand that all you have to do is (.75)(.75) to get the percentage but by what FACTOR would this be off by?

Thanks so much for your help! God Bless!! :)
