How can i solve this quadratic equation using the QUADRATIC FORMULA?

5x^2+13x -6=0

I tried doing it but i got stuck on the way....

c)x^4-3x^3+3x^2+x-6=0
d)2x^4+3x^3-3x^2+4=0

2)How do you graph polynomial functions like this:
a) f(x)=-x^3+2x^2+4x-8
b)f(x)=x^3-6x-9

Wal-Mart sells thermometer ($2) and hot-water bottles ($6). In december, Wal-Mart total sales were 1,200 dollars. Customers bought 7 times as many therometers as hot-water bottles. How many of each did Wal-Mart sell?

There is some confusion in terminolgy here, probably on my part. Ray, you`re correct about 2mc being the1st dir of e=mc^2: But, that wasn`t my question.
I want to know what the funtion is (integral?) if mc^2 is the 1st dirivity of the funtion I`m looking for!
