What is the percentage...
I earn £200 per day, and out of te £200 i have to give my partner £60. What percentage (%) does my partner recieve.

(60 / 200) x 100 % = 60 / 2 % = 30 %

For percentage questions always take the number you want the percentage for (in this case 60) and divide it with the number you want the percentage from (in this case 200) this will give you a number which you should multiply by 100 so the correct sum is

(60/200) * 100 = 30

so the answer is 30%

Don't listen to those who say it is 33.33%. If you multiply 60 by 33.33 you get 1999.8; not 199.

Write what 100% is equal to (in this case it is 200), then write the percentage you are looking for beneath it.

100% = £200
?% = £60

*Always keep the percentages and the other unit (in this case £'s) on the same sides: % = £.

Then divide the number above the ? by the number next to it.

100/200 = 0.5

Then multiply your answer by the number below.

0.5 * 60 = 30

Therefore the answer is 30%.
