I need the answer in yards. If you want to go the extra mile, tell me how much I will pay for carpet installation. There are 3 areas to be covered:

15 ft x12 ft
30 ft x12 ft
17 ft x12 ft

The carpet guy will charge me $3.50 per square yard.

I have to detremine the graph of linear equation.
-2x+3y= -6
by finding the x and y intercepts. type the equation using function notation.
I have the answers x (3,0) y (0,-2) but I can't figure out how to get the function notation. please help. use intergers or fraction for any numbers in the expression.

helpppppppppppp.. I need a graphing calculator but can't afford one yet. one day will will get one.

It's really hard to explain, but, using math can you prove it? This guy apparently thinks it's wrong: http://www.timecube.com but he's insane anyway, so who cares.

The question asked is, "If positive one times positive one equals positve one, then why does negative one plus negative one equal positve one?"

The math he tries to prove it with is this:

-9 + -9 + -9 + -9 + -9 + -9 + -9 + -9 + -9 = -81

Do you see the flaw he made? there are a positive number of negative nine there, and it was multiplied by a negative number, so you must subtract -9 a bunch of times:

-9 - -9 - -9 - -9 - -9 - -9 - -9 - -9 - -9 = +63

But that's still wrong, and do you know why?

Because you always start with 0

here's the positive again:

+9 x +9 = +81
0 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 + +9 = +81

so,

what's the math then that proves this?

Okay, I'm having HUGE issues with my algebra homework...Can anyone help me with the problem...-13 = y over 3??

Okay, I give up. I believe that to actually solve this problem is beyond my current abilities. I've approximated the solution to be 304.64, but now I want to know the exact answer.

The problem is: An object moves at a rate of [20+7cos(x)] m/s for 15 s. How far did it travel?

I know I'm close, because if it had traveled a little longer then the rate would have averaged perfectly to 20 m/s, so the answer should be just a little over 15*20, which mine is.

Is this problem a lot easier to do than I think? I started calculus last week, and I just picked up this problem as a challenge. If integrating a trig function is actually what I have to do, and is as complex as it looks, then all I need is to be told so.

alrite, ive tried looking at this in different angles, but theres no lightbulb popping up above my hea (if u catch my drift)

A B C
1 8 27
64 125 216

~~the data above was featured in a table-- the question is: in what column would you find the number one billion and why?~~

~~ the information is jumbled, but it was originally aligned according to row and column, so the numbers 1 and 64 go under column "A". the numbers 8 and 25 go under column "B". the numbers 27 and 216 go under column "C".
