To solve for x:
6 = 4 - 2x (moved 4 to d other side & dont 4get 2 change d sign)
6 - 4 = -2x
2 = -2x
2/(-2) = x
-1 = x
So x is -1
-good luck-

6 = 4 - 2x
Here we go:
6 - 4 = 4 - 2x - 4
2 = -2x
2 / -2 = -2x / -2
-1 = x
So x = -1. Let's check the problem by plugging in the answer:
6 = 4 - 2 (-1)
6 = 4 - (-2)
6 = 4 + 2
6 = 6
So yup, yup, this works!

First bring the 4 to the other side and subtract from the six.
6-4= -2x
2 = -2x
Next, divide both sides by -2.
2/-2 = -2x/-2
-1 = x
Then x = -1

Seriously , you should be able to solve these questions in less time then it takes to ask them here.
Do the same thing to both sides of the equation until 'x' is all on its own.
In this case, you'd start off by subtracting 4 from both sides, getting to 2 = -2x, then continue.
Not only are you avoiding learning something that you actually do need to know in life, but this is taking even longer then solving them would.

6 = 4-2x
Therefore,
-2x = 2
2x = -2
x = -1
x = -1 because
6 = 4-(-2)
6 = 4+2
