Okay, I'm having HUGE issues with my algebra homework...Can anyone help me with the problem...-13 = y over 3??

-13 = y / 3

All you have to do is multiply both sides by 3.

-13 * 3 = (y / 3) * 3
-39 = y

Well for this problem, all you need to do is multiply both sides of the equation by 3 to cancel the denominator in the y side. You'll end up getting y= -39
