I understand that if you have a wind generator it will automatically shut down in case of a power failure to prevent electrical shock to the power company repairmen.Does this mean if there is a huricane and the power was off for weeks you would not be able to use the generator to power your house during this time?

The names escaped me, but those towers, normally in the bush or country, which are huge metal structures (almost 100m/300ft tall), you can see them from miles off, that can stretch the cables across valleys, etc. They're just a metal skeleton basically.
I'm not sure if the names different in the USA but I'm looking for the Australian name never the less.

ok, so a basic electric motor is a ball of copper wire that turns when electricity is applied... I want to take that motor and make it so I can vary the speed of it, like the harder you press the botton, the faster it will go.

The circuit characteristics...voltage supply is 117v, Impedance1 is 2k at 0degrees, Impedance2 is 1k at -45degrees and impedance3 is 5k at 30degrees. What is the apparent, real, reactive power and the power factor. It would be better if you can show the work in steps. thanks in advance!
