Now I'm a student and I really hope to be an enigineer when graduating from the school. I have a big enthusiasm, but obviously it's not good enough. My mentor said, my math level is poor and he thinks I don't have very good basic knowledge to support me. And I also see some excellent engineers in school. They all have a PhD degree. If one guy wants to be an engineer, does he need to have a PhD degree, too? I admit what my mentor said. I must have A-level math and ohters great engineerings. In May, I'll have an exam. This exam will decide my future. I am not a smart guy. Thus, I always study hard, but what I put in doesn't correspond to what I get out. Someone said, it's about "native intelligence". I am really sorry for my mentor, because my grade always disappoints him.

I think I can still keep the faith to be an engineer because of my religion. I'm a christain. Some people said, it's a test from God, but I cannot blame my bad study on Jesus. It's unfair to Him.

in domestic single phase system we have a phase line and a neutral line but we know know that a.c current is sinusoidal nature, my doubt is, in single phase line how would current reverses its direction, how would you justify the sine nature in a single line.

I study computer science, and all this Artificial Intelligence stuff has got me interested in robots. Of course I'm not talking about anything really sophisticated, just something like an engine on wheels that avoid crashing into obstacles. Does anybody know where to start? Which programming language to build? And what other materials I need.

Thanks!

During the flight the aircraft's metallic part accumulates Static charge (similar to the one that we get from a car's door parked in sunlight or from other metallic furnitures). How do Aeronautic Engineers handle with this menance of Static charge, because i believe that during the flight, the magnitude of this static charge will be enormously high.

I have an electric drill with two side by side motors. It has an aluminum body casing that has no distinguishing marks. The cord was old and frayed and when replaced the motors just sparked. Were the two motors for two speed, or maybe for forward and reverse. There is no name plate on the drill. Has anyone ever seen this type of drill?

My colleagues and I are looking for solutions to the unpopularity of public transportation, unoptimized traffic flow, and excessive fuel consumption. We drew up several models of public transportation that allow drivers to stay in there cars. One suggestion was to make "automation highways", only eligible to drivers with cars having specific automation computers and gps systems, whereon these highways the car takes over the driving 100%, & then tailgates the car in front of it right up til their bumpers are touching (and still driving), at which point it magnetizes your bumper, and the cars begin to act as one car. Thus several cars can drive (at high speeds) acting as one unit with several axels and several engines. (bumpers are demagnitized and cars exit the 'train' as needed to get each car to its prescribed exit (gps) ) The question is whether magnetizing two cars together by their front and rear bumpers, is there any way to use less combined gasoline? and how much less (%) ?

I am planning to use power tools such as grinders, and most especially an air compressor that can supply enough power to paint a car. i know i can put up light bulbs with any power inverter but vaccuums and other power tools that have moving parts, even if their rating is well below the rating of my inverter does not work, why and how can i solve this problem?
