It might look good and it might tickle the fancy of UFO believers, but there are so may reasons why the design is inefficient. For example, using downward thrust to keep a heavy object afloat takes tremendoes amounts of torque, and the problem is, the engine "treads air". It pushes the thrust out so fast it creates it's own envelope. If they could have used the princible of the helicopter rotor, where the torques is spread across a large area, then maybe it would fly. Another reason is that they want the outer ring to spin creating a gyro effect. There are huge amounts of energy lost there. Another example that should have been taken from the helicopter.

As hundreds would likely guard each pyramid exterior that would contain a cap like this, how would one go about stealing it. id say they would have to melt the cap down, however they melted metals and gold in those days, after sending an army of thousands in there and killing all of egypts forces. and as you know those egyptians multiplied like rabbits so... uh... yah, there were a lot of them that had to go down before this would even be a feasible plan.

I believe gold is the answer, one of the heaviest metals capable of creating a core for a new planet, possibly the 10th, unnamed of planet. i dont know much about astonomy, but i believe two pyramid tops the same size made of a heavy metal could be put into orbit with both 60 degree tips used for "poles" and the rest could be left out in space with a little ice added for life forms to become. the core would be strategically plced in front of comets which would become the dirt and add to the crust until the planet got close enough to the sun for some of the ice to melt and to mix with the dust of the comets forming a new planet after a few hundred thousand years until the dust settles and the planet becomes like mars, a barren red planet, or the main colors of the lightest material on the planet, most likely ice and parts of the comets, creating the top "soil" layer. Afterwards life forms begin to take over and later it gets so crowded they have to move on to the next planet.
