like-when in doing groove welding around the round piece ,square,triangle piece with brackets--where to start and where to finish

Try tacking every couple of inches and then welding the spaces between the tacks alternating sides.
Exp. Weld 2" on one side then 2" on the other side and keep working your way around.
Just make sure your tacks are down first to prevent pulling off center.

If strength is not an issue, you could skip weld. Also preheating the work piece helps.
