I honestly think I have a strong desire to know figure out things, but how often does an engineer differential equations in an average day? I have a friend that got a degree in computer science and has used very little math in her job as a software tester.

The concern is that the sun shining on the condenser unit will cause the casing to heat up, thus air intake is warm. Providing a shelter will prevent direct sun on the casing. The other concern is that building the shelter will cause inhibitions on air intake / air out, thus higher risk to the condenser unit.

Are these concerns justifiable / valid?

Worldwide, machines like PCs, cordless phones and fax machines on standby consume hundreds of megawatts of power. It only takes a couple of seconds for a fax machine or cordless phone to be ready for use when you turn it on. So why don't we have cordless phone base stations and fax machines that consume no power while waiting for an incoming signal, and turn themselves on when one arrives?

If it were true that the respective authorities are involved in the withholding of information concerning extra terrestrials, why do you think they want to do that?

Could they not just acknowledge the existence of such things? Do you think they are really in possession of extra terrestrial technology?
