I would love to learn more about it. I saw the "Universe" series on the History Channell and would love to know more about our plantes, stars, and how we all came to be... can anyone reccomend good books that are not full of scientific jargon? Thanks!

The star grouping Leo (the lion) extends for about 30° along and close to the celestial equator. At low to mid-latitudes, roughly how long does it take Leo to rise above the horizon?

How can the universe NEVER ever stop? If it truly is infinate, then doesn't there HAVE to be other complex life forms out there, most likely more complex then humans? What is a black hole and how does it work? If space is matterless, what makes it black? Any space related information would be greatly appreciated.

Many theories have been proposed about how mankind could create an earth-like biosphere on Mars. Should the natural enviroment be left alone? Would you support or dispute it? Also, what if they found life on Mars? Would you support terraforming then?

Okay so.. if light deflect the light of the sun and black absorbs it, then aren't solar panels just absorbing more light, sun and heat into our atmosphere? Wouldn't this lead to an increase in global warming? Shouldn't solar panals be white? No rude answers please.

"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." - Douglas Adams

ok so I have decided I would like to be an astronaut when i become older. well, im not sure which college i should attend. i know i should major in the math or science field. well i love the both but i would like my major to be in Science. I live in Houston, Texas and i really want to go to a college that is close. i would really perfer a college in Houstotn. I have tried to look on the internet at what college i should go to but im kinda having difficulties finding what i need. So if someone could either give me a good site to look for what i need, or i would really like if someone could list off some schools that would be good. OH AND IF THERE ARE ANY ASTRONAUTS HERE PLEASE LET ME KNOW CAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO ONE THAT CAN GIVE ME SOME IDEAS. Thanks everyone.

As it expands, it gets bigger & bigger, etc...

Does that mean when Jesus said He goes to prepare a place for us, he isn't kidding?
