I have recently found myself staring at the night sky more and more. I live in central Phoenix, AZ so I understand I still wont be able to see much more with a telescope due to city lights, but how do I find the right one? Right now I am mainly interested in our sister planets, but am sure my interest in other celestial objects will grow once I can actually see them. Thank you!

At a space station located at Lagrange point 2 how would we see the Earth and Moon? Would the Earth appear to be stationary? How would the Moon look when it passes in front of the Earth from that persepective? Tiny? See diagram.

The bible doesn't mention life on other planets? Is it possible that meteors smashing in to the earth thousands or millions of years ago could have cause debris containing life from earth to travel to other planets? Even if it was just bacteria could that bacteria evolved in to species that are surviving on other planets today??

Obviously there had to be something to explode and create the rock and elements in our universe. I think there was one gian mass that blew up like a nuclear bomb. Where did that mass come from? Was it floating in the nothingness of the universe and where did the energy that caused the explosion come from?

Thinking about such things is a good argument for God. Maybe everything didn't happen on earth the way that it is stated in the bible, but something had to be behind the creation of the universe. And if there is a God then where did he come from?
