First off, most typical bombs we use on earth require oxygen to detonate and so would not be capable of detonating in space. But assuming you've mastered the ability to create a detonation device which would not only explode in space, but also destroy our sun... Buzz lightyear would never allow that to happen. The space ranger would find a way to prevent our solar systems demise. Go Buzz!

He wouldn't make it too close before he'd probably just disappear with a little unnoticeable "poof" of his bomb. He'd probably be lucky if he gets past Mercury.
