How can the universe NEVER ever stop? If it truly is infinate, then doesn't there HAVE to be other complex life forms out there, most likely more complex then humans? What is a black hole and how does it work? If space is matterless, what makes it black? Any space related information would be greatly appreciated.

wow that last one is a lot of gobbledygook. if the universe does indeed "never stop" then that is a question that can never be answered. as far as other life forms, as rare as it is for a planet to have all the necessary conditions for sustaining life, the shear number of planets that exist in the universe make the odds of finding a planet capable of supporting life very high. it is likely that there would be species both far more, and far less advanced than us here on earth. a black hole is what happens to a massive star when it dies. it collapses in on itself. the entire mass of a star is compacted into a space the size of the head of a ballpoint pen, and the more dense an object, the greater its gravitational pull. aside from the dust, asteroids and such, the reason space is black is because blackness is the absence of light. we do not see whatever is we are actully are looking at, we see the light that is reflected off of it. since there is nothing to reflect light, there is nothing to see. for other information regarding space i would recommend watching a program called "the universe" on the history channel

Nobody really knows a definite answer to your questions. The theory is that the universe doesn't stop expanding. Since we don't have the technology to travel around the universe, we will probably never know. There may be life on other planets, but we don't have the evidence to prove this.
A black hole is basically a dead mega star that just sits there and swallows everything around it because of it's very strong gravitational force. It is black because it also swallows the light and since nothing, not even light, can escape, it is black.

Well, for your first question, I don't know. For #2, yes, there probably are more complex life forms out there. For #3, a black hole is an explosed star, with so much gravity that anything that enters it is crushed to an infinetly small amount of matter that it practically dissapears. And for #4, space is black because when we see black, we literally see nothing, and thats why its black in space.

We don't know it is truly infinate. Some believe it will eventually slow, stop and receed.

What happens is Cosmic Radiation moves at about or at the speed of ligth 186,000 miles per second.

It moves OUTWARD

And what it does is WARM SPACE

SPACE outside the Cosmic Rays is expected to be AT are almost AT Absolute zero Kelvin

Comic Rays generate 3.6 degree Kelvin temprature

As the burst of COSMIC RAYS moves out at 186,000 miles per second it expands the UNIVERSE by warming it.

FOLLOWING these Cosmic rays are PHOTONS of light that create "light pollution" at the near edge of the universe.

Exceptions are dark areas we call BLACK MATTER or BLACK ENERGY and we don't know what these are.

You take 0 KELVIN to be absolutely motionless and totally back.

Cosmic rays warm this up to 3.6 degree and Photons of Light give it a shade of white.

Not much

On the Scheme of things were the sun is 10 and the OUTSIDE edge of the UNIVERSE is 0 then the PHOTONS of light are something like 0.000001

Maybe even smaller.

To experience this. Go inland. Go to the plain states or the desert. Then head into a city like Phoenix.

About 40 miles from Phoneix you'll start to see a glow near Phoenix and this is LIGHT POLLUTION.

By the time you reach Phoenix you can read a book in your car without the dome light one, due to the LIGHT POLLUTION

Now imageine TOTAL BLACK

And then imagine enough photons of light to make that a hair grayer than total black.

THAT is the EDGE of the known universe.

The EYE cannot preceive 0.00001

The Eye needs to see closer to 0.01

Even that is not much

0.1 is something to write home about

But that is easily 1,000,000 miles from the EDGE of the universe

And the Universe is expanding at 186,000 miles per second.

So if you were 1,000,000 miles from the edge and didn't move or didn't move fast you'd see the BLACKNESS around you slowly turn DARK GREY with light

You'd eventually be able to see your hand if you held it up to your face.

You wouldn't OUTSIDE THE EDGE of the universe.

In at little as 20 minutes from the edge of the universe you'd start to see your fingers and hand if you held it up to your face.

This is due to light pollution from the photons that excaped 14 billion years ago.

Now, if you were TRANSPORTED to the EDGE of the Universe and the Cosmic Rays passed you, you'd probabaly be dead within 2 days due to the lethal radiation.

We are talking about a SOLAR TYPE WINDS passing you at the EDGE of the UNIVERSE, followed by PHOTONS of light.

No one really knows if the universe never stops black holes are just giant stars that have blown up and died the suck in all light and don't let it out this is all I know
