Hi. "Concentric" means having a common center. A bull's eye is a good example.

The word "concentric" loosely means "having the same center", so concentric circles are circles with the same center but with different radii. If you've ever looked at a dart board, you've seen concentric circles. The rings of Saturn are a series of concentric circles.

Concentric circles are circles of different sizes that share the same center. A bullseye is a good example. CD's also have them.

Concentric circles are simply circles within circles. Two examples are tree rings and ripples propagating outward from the spot where a stone is dropped into water.
