Why not make a sports bra for the shuttle, It would be a fitted kevlar cover that would protect the tiles on the way up, then released from the shuttle, and retrieved, and reused. What do you think of this Idea?

My 3 /12 year old son wants to see Mars and I'm completely astronomy illiterate. I believe that it's supposed to be in the southeastern part of the sky (from Tampa, Fl) but that's all I know. It's partly cloudy but I see a big bright star/planet at about 30 degrees up from the horizon (where 90 is straight up). Is that it? Is it the brightest light in the sky?

when I was looking at the beautiful full moon tonite in Indy, it looked like it was bobbing around. No, I'm not on drugs(not even an aspirin) and there was not one ounce of alcohol in me. Is that a normal optical illusion?

NASA sends astronauts in orbit to space stations and satellites but when will they send men BACK to the MOON? You'd think that with this being the NEW MILLENIUM, they'd already been there and done that and going back for more! Looks like our Sci-Fi movies and adventures have all proven to be FLUKES.

Im a bit skeptical of how the big bang was created since its the only thing scientists can think.

If the galaxies and stuff were created by the big bang what created the big bang, and if something did create the big bang what created that, etc

IF you can convince ill be gay and atheist

If the big bang happened 13.7 billion years ago, and the observable universe is about 46.5 billion light years, does that mean the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light? 46.5 is greater than 13.7. I understand one is measured in distance and the other is measured in time, but I'm still confused. Please help. Thanks.

I read this from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observable_universe
