All distant galaxies are moving away from our galaxy because our galaxy is at the center of the universe.

I was reading a book, that said that the center of a galaxy might be a black hole. But wouldnt that mean that we're movin closer to the core? So when we take measurements of how far away the next galaxy is it would look like its getting farther, when we're just going closer to the center.

Also if the galaxy is spinning, then wouldn't that also contribute to things lookin farther away over time? Because it would look like the other galaxys are movin away when the galaxy turns and our earth moves to the other side of the galaxy.

Or did they take this all into account when they made up the thoery that the universe was expanding?

Today is the Equinox, so I figured that there would be less than 12 hours sunlight tomorrow in the northern hemisphere, but when I check the web, I find that almost every place in the northern hemisphere has slightly more than 12 hours sunlight. Why?

Is Mars a dead planet? I hear people say that a lot, if so when do you think it died? And will we ever find out if there were some other type of things living there?

Let's suppose the first manned mission on Mars takes place, but a landing malfunction leaves the ship stranded on Mars. The crew members are intact and even have the food supply to survive for at least the time they would have taken to return back to Earth.

Will NASA be likely to organize a rescue mission in this case? The costs would probably be enormous and there is also an additional risk for the rescuers. What YOU think would be the best decision?

If so, see this movie:
http://www.intheshadowofthemoon.com/
locations and times:
http://thinkfilmcompany.com/schedule/films/in+the+shadow+of+the+moon/

and THEN tell me you still believe all that was fake.

Sadly, you will only find this film in a very few theaters and probably lots of empty seats there too, because people just don't care. That is why we didn't keep doing Moon missions.
