Alright, I'nm a strong disbeleiver in alien abductions and all the ufo crap. Im just curius, if you had a delusion that you were abducted, what did the aliens look like? Because if they are really aliens, they should look nothing like us, the little green men are a joke.

hi, i was just answering another question, when i thought i would ask this,do you think the space station is there for other reasons other than wat wer told?
do you think that they have started another population already on another planet, i think they have, it makes scence as now they have relised just how bad they have ruined our planet now there looking to experiment new ideas for the next one so they dont stuff that one up to, i know it sounds a little far fetched but,
when they have taken all the oil and gass coal and from our planet how will they make as much money to keep them all power full leaders?
they really cant unless they have already started to think of other ways already thats why there not doing much to change the ways they do things even thou they know wat there doing is wrong, our plates that we live on will start to grinde ad sink without oil and gas dont you think?
more volanos will erupt poison us or even worst they will send us into another ice age,

I wanted a pair of binoculars for look at the moon, and casual stargazing. But I didn't want to have to use a tri-pod. Also I wanted to keep the cost reasonable, so I though this pair was pretty good, please give me your feed back on what you think. And if you think there is another better pair with about the same price please give me the link!

I don't see why Mars seems lifeless, but I'm sure there is some kind of life there. Unlike Mars itself, Venus definitely has no life because of the thick layer of toxic clouds covering it.

I have always been a major supporter of space exploration and the space program in general. But once again, to see a potential shuttle disaster because of another piece of frozen insulation angers me. Did we not learn from the Challenger/Columbia disasters? Why are we still using an obviously antiquated lift system?...and when are we going to shift technology to a safer, more advanced orbiter?

I'm a U.S. citizen, and this is something that puzzles me at least twice a year. The solstices are usually mentioned on the radio, on the news on television and in newspapers. The media--and our citizens--are always saying that June 21, for instance, is the beginning of summer. By my logic, it's the middle of summer, and the beginning came 1 1/2 months before. On what some call the cross-quarter days.

Apparently, most of the world does consider solstices and equinoxes as the middle of seasons. Hence Shakespeare's play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Which would then refer to the Summer Solstice, probably on June 21 or June 22, by our calendar.

If the big bang is unlike a traditional explosion in that space itself is expanding. How much smaller would space have been prior to the big bang? If everything was packed closely together before it "exploded" Then why would light take millions of years to reach us since all matter would have been in close proximity to each other. I would think that all stars and galaxies would be visible to us today because billions of years ago we were much closer to them than we are today.

Additional questions would be, if there is not enough matter in the universe to stop it's accelleration outward, then the universe' ultimate end is cold and dark without chance of rebirth? If that is the case then how could the universe evan have begun? Where could all the matter come from and how did it get there?

I understand most of relativity but one thing bugs me.
I can't figure out where my understanding is flawed in this one scenario:
If I head off at near-c, look around, and head back, then relative to you I've been travelling very quickly and will have experienced less time.
However, relative to ME you've been the one that travelled at near-c in one direction and then near-c in the other. If all perspectives are relative, then why when I came back would you have experienced more time than me?

This has been bugging me for over 4 years, but in trying to write out the question clearly and without confusion I figured it out. Now I'm going to ask it anyways since it's interesting and the answers might be insightful.

What is the tie (if any) to our sun's natural cycle of warming and cooling have to do with the climate on our planet ?
As I understand, a new backwards facing sunspot was discoverd reacently and it had been observed that in the past when backward sunspots appeared it would seem to be a precurser to a more active solar flare season too come.

my theories are:

the primary elements that they evolved from differ from ours (carbon-based).

this could also apply to differing temperatures on their home planet.

or

their planet came into existence a few billion years before ours, giving them much more time to evolve, as well as develop the ability for space travel.

what do you think?
