if it were possible would you want to, just to see what it was like?

if you were just hangin around in a spacesuit, getting pulled in, would you want to know where it leads to? if anywhere at all? or would you not prefer that terror?

I just don't get it...why must we be so selfish? Why must the American government, continually give a smaller and smaller budget to the NASA space program? It is, THE most important part of the entire budget.
Even for the people do not place learning and discovery above pointless wars, think about it. With the newfound knowledge of Helium-3, and the Moon's large reservoir of said material...we could successfully replace the non-renewable Oil and Petroleum, with a fuel that is like Nuclear power, only with no harmful by-products, and no risk of meltdown. If we harvested Helium-3 from the Moon, it could sustain as our energy source, (adjusting for the population rise) for the next 6000 years!

I could debate this forever, but, my main question today is,
Why aren't we making much progress (as we could) in the Space exploration field? The NASA director said himself that if NASA had the equivalent funds of 1 year in Iraq, we'd be living on the Moon by now. So my friends...why aren't we?

If it even has the smallest mass like 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 of AMU. THen we could put flashlights on the back of our cars and go at the speed of light right? Because Newton's First Law says that for every action there is a reaction. So instead of fuel to push the rocket, we could put light beams right?

Black holes suck in objects but -- according to Einstein's general theory of relativity that time reversal is possible -- objects that travel through black holes could theoretically be spewed out of other holes. Such holes are called white holes. The tunnels that connect black and white holes are known as wormholes

The Galaxy NGC 7742 is known to have a massive black hole in the middle of it.
So why hasn't the black hole swollowed the Galaxy? Why is gas able to shoot out from the Galaxy, I thought black holes were meant to suck things inwards, not push it outwards.

My 7 year old son is upset that the Sun is going to burn out in about 5 billion years and kill all life on Earth. I have attempted to show him how huge 5 billion is, but he insists that it is still too soon. He knows that moving to other planets or creating artificial worlds is a possibility, but he really wants to save the Earth. Does anyone have any ideas on how we could refuel the Sun when the hydrogen runs out? Or how about creating a new star to keep us warm? Or moving the planet to a new star? I know it is a big engineering project, but we have a long time to work on it.

Ok, I received an email about this and my daughter brought home a newsletter from school about it, so I was just wondering if it was true...

On Monday, August 27, 2007, two moons will rise in
the
midnight sky. Starting in August, the planet Mars
will be the brightest object in the night sky, and
will look as large as a full moon to the naked eye.
This will culminate on Monday, August 27th, when Mars
comes within 34.65 million miles of Earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Monday, August 27th from
midnight to 12:30A.M. It will look like the Earth has
two moons.

***The next time Mars comes this close to Earth will
be in the year 2287.

Don't miss this once in a lifetime spectacular
event!!!

I have searched online and came upon this website that states it is all a host: http://www.snopes.com/science/mars.asp

So, what do you think?

Do you think moon landing was faked?...Probably another Nasa cover-up?...
just scroll down when you open the page..and compare the two photos of astronaut Aldrin facing the flag...

heres the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Moon_Landing_hoax_accusations

The first photo shows that Aldrin is saluting the flag...then the second photo: Buzz Aldrin's hand is down, head turned toward the camera, the flag is unchanged.

Im just curios because if you compare the two photos, the flag is not waving..

O_o

I dont really care about nasa ufo cover-ups...My main concern was: is moon landing also a coverup?..weird..

Umm im writing this post becuase last night i got pretty freaked out while i was laying in bed. The lights were off but my vision was completely adapted to the darkness so i could pretty much make out everthing in the room fine.
While i was laying there umm its kinda hard to explain but what looked kinda like a ''disturbance'' in the room. At first i just thought ok its the night playing tricks on me so i decided to try and go back to sleep. Being my usual paranoid self i decided to open my eyes as i usually do since i dont really sleep much ne way. The disturbance ill call it was in a different spot and this kinda worried me a little bit. I decided to play asleep and closed one eye and kept the other open just to see if ne thing would happen and well it kinda did. (cont in add details)

beeb 2 are showing a show at the moment called the cosmos for begginers, on one of the shows they said some scientists in Geniva were trying to recreate the big bang, now i'm sure they are doing it on a microscopic scale but since no one really knows what happend how can anyone say that doing it on a microscopic scale is safe(what if it happend on a micro scale in the first place) say they manage to recreate it, would that not only destroy Earth and the solar system in a matter of milliseconds but the galaxy aswell, is this something we should be trying to do? your thoughts!!!
