Dont worry about your brain when you die. Just accept christ as your savior to get salvation and go to heaven...God created us with only limited knowledge about the universe and its natural that we are curious...:)..maybe you could ask him someday....

You might as well ask, what is it that we were able to comprehend before we were ever born. Is life merely an extension, or, another avenue to that which preceded our birth. Maybe life is but a tentative tunnel for focusing on certain aspects of our understanding of the Universe, and that when we transform from this material state, we branch out into pure consciousness, free to comprehend our place in the whole scheme of things. :)

No, when a human is dead, it is the brain (among other things) that dies. Dead brains don't think, they just lie there, dead.
