I'm not sure if it was a UFO, but I did see something strange in the sky earlier....at about 7.30 GMT, smallish object with 2 bright lights (too bright for any aircraft I know of) moving erratically across the sky and as I was watching them they just vanished.
This was on the south east coast of Ireland.

There goes the last piece of my sanity.

Just suppose, if you could, be sent to Mars for an example. Shot a gun off and say it was a 22 calibre. How far would the bullet go, would it go faster or slower than on earth. Would the explosion of the bullet be more or less intense than here on earth. Mars was just an example, if anyone knows more about this if it happened on another planet please let me know? Thanks.

I'm a space exploration enthusiast, but I've had doubts about this. Looks like roughly two years minimum. With all the supplies alone needed for life support, the ship would have to be huge. Then there are the questions about psychological health, etc. I'm pessimistic, but am I missing something?

Many people believe world peace is impossible, to be honest im inclined to agree. However, if mankind was faced with the common goal for survival against a common enemy, could we settle petty differences and for once, and onlu breifly, be as bold to say through war we are at peace!?

I recently saw a clip online of the fabrication of the moon landings. They claim the Van Allen Radiation belt is impossible to traverse with the technology we had and have. It would kill any living organism that attempted to pass through it. So did we land on the moon?

I recently watched a documentry on the sun and they said that sunlight can and usually is millions of years old before it finally makes it to earth. I know it takes about eight minutes for light to travel the distance from the sun but can it really be millions of years old?

What would we see if we were to discover a planet exactly 1 lightyear away and we see a gigantic mirror in this planet pointing directly to earth at all times (i know this sounds impossible but just bear with me). If the planet is 1 lightyear away, then when we looked at the planet for the first time and looked into the mirror then we would see earth as it was 1 year ago right? I am not that much into science but my basic knowledge leads me to think that if its 1 lightyear away then it takes 1 year for the planet to receive the light from earth, so thats why we see earth as it was 1 year ago right? please correct me if i am wrong, thanks.

It should be easy enough to calculate as long as the speed of light is known - maybe that would have been a better question i think it's 186,000 miles per second.

You would think that the closer you came to the center of the occurance the more chance you would find a civalization that would be older and more advanced than ours. You would also think that we would focus our exploration direction in that area first.

I've asked this to people, and they pretty much either don't know, say it's always been there, or say that God created it. Ok, i believe in God but there has to be a scientific reason how it started right? Like i doubt someday earth just appeared.
i mean, nobody even knows how God was created... if there even is a god... but thats a whole completely different argument..
