All you folks in Europe, Africa, South America, and eastern parts of the US and Canada who could see the total Lunar eclipse...
How was it?
"knock your socks off spectacular"?
or just,
"ho-hum"?

I want to know if any amateur scientists were recognized and rewarded for their discoveries. If not then, what other rewards did they received in their lifetimes?

When the eclipse was starting was the moon getting covered from the bottom of the moon or the top.
Here the north part (from where i'm looking) is being covered last.
Is that the same in southern africa?
Whats the eclipse like wherever you are?
What are you doing while you watch it?
I'm in the middle of England - Staffordshire
Was in the garden - cold
Now i'm in bedroom looking out of window

What kind of observations about lunar ecliple? Very easy to detect in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, at 1:00 FT (+2 to GMT). No clouds. Very beautiful.
