Daylight saving time came about when a retailer (forgotten name) discovered people shopped more during the summer when the sun stayed up longer. So they decided they would change the time a part of the year to encourage more sales. Recently the government influenced by retailers everywhere changed the dates in which we switch our times. Instead of it being equal 6 month periods now winter is only 4 months long. It is all good for me. I hate going home in the dark. Have fun in the sun.
