I heard the United Nations are thinking of sending a satelite to deflect it's gravity, but what if they don't. Or what if it doesn't work. What do you think will happen? Are you scared?

a. The .... of the HST receives the reflected light from a mirror and directs it towards the camera and other computer instruments

b. The .... is a large mirror in the HST that collects light from outer space and focuses it to form an image.

Choices: Primary Mirror, Secondary mirror

Which ones does primary and secondary mirror go into? I have a picture here of the telescope, but the secondary mirror is very small and the light from a distant object is directly going into the secondary mirrior and the primary mirror is in the back of the scope..but again im not sure.

About a month ago, I was coming down my stairs at 5:45 AM on a Tuesday when I looked out the giant window (that lets you see a chandelier from the street) when I saw an orange glowing ball of light quickly fall from the sky and into my across-the-street neighbor's backyard. I live in Suburbia so I doubt this was a shooting star of some sort (where I live you can see about 10 stars per night) and since this was in the early morning, I don't think it was a toy. What was it?

Serious answers only, please!

I was watching this show about electro magnetic pulse (EMP) bombs last night. They said that if one was detonated, it would fry everything with a circut board. I also heard the same thing would happen if a solar mass ejection or solar flair hit the earth. They said it would take years, even decades, to recover from that sort of event. My question is, If everyone turned off their computers, phones, etc. and all the cities and countries shut down their electrcal systems, satellites, etc. would they be fine after the flair/blast? Or are they just as likely to fry off, as on?
