I heard the United Nations are thinking of sending a satelite to deflect it's gravity, but what if they don't. Or what if it doesn't work. What do you think will happen? Are you scared?

That is some scary stuff. Who knows exactly what will happen? Think about if that could mean the possible end of the world and the chaos that would occur. Knowing that we may possibly be able to countdown our own death. Thats just freaky lol. But you know our good old government, "well take care of it later." So hopefully others in the UN will get some scientists on the ball for this.

Wow, so much misinformation in just one question...where to begin?

Firstly, the "asteroid" in question will not pass by until 2035. Second, the odds of it hitting are 1 in 45,000. Third, you don't "deflect gravity." (But you can use gravity to deflect on object.)

I guess that covers it.

Nothing is going to happen. No, I'm not scared.

It does, however, provide us an opportunity to practice techniques for deflecting an asteroid, should we ever discover one that has a REAL chance of hitting us. And, no, there are no asteroids that we know of which could even come close to hitting us...and we do have the technology to spot any large enough to cause global devastation. That said, there are plenty of smaller rocks out there that could take out a city and we would never know until it hit us.

no I'm not scared... but I'd be more scared if the UN would mess with it. (considering how incapable they are of actually doing anything good)
Call me a moron if you want, but the earth will get hit by a meteor when God says so, until then I don't give a crap about what scientists say.
They made a big fuss about "Global cooling" in the 70s and they were wrong. Now "Global warming" is the new fad and they're wrong about that too. Scientists don't know nearly as much as they want you to think they know.

Meteors hit the Earth every day. I'm not scared of a meteor. You're probably talking about an asteroid. The chances of any of the known asteroids hitting the earth in the next 100 years is very, very low, and the predictions are always changing. You should not be worried about it.

Problems with your question:
- Not in 2012, but 2057.
- earth = Earth
- heard the = heard that the
- satelite = satellite
- it's = its

Also:
- I think that the nuclear bombs of America can make a standoff blast and deflect it away from the Earth.
- I am not scared.
