If the Space Shuttle has a camera pointed towards the Earth. Will it still be pointing at the Earth on the other side of the orbit? Do they have to induce a rotation to make it stay pointed at Earth?

I don't have a telescope, but with good binocs it clearly flashes red and blue and white. Does not move in the sky, so not a plane. I am thinking Saturn? I am in Oregon if that helps.

2020...Are they serious? Is this a publicity stunt? Didn't it only take 8 years after Kennedy's speech for them to get there the last time? I really think this is a publicity stunt because if they were serious I believe that they really would be talking about going to Mars. The moon seems so.....so.......so.......pointless.

I find it so hard to believe the a President who has fought with the entire scientific community about even the simplest of issues how somehow become enlightened and wants to send us to the moon. Didn't his congress just cut Nasa funds sharply a few years back? Correct if I am wrong but use common sense.....

Will it fall on earth with an acceleration of g or will it escape into outer space?
Frankly, I believe it will fall on moon with the acceleration due to gravity of moon.
On earth the balloon goes up coz its lighter than air but on moon there is no air.
Also please neglect the fact that the balloon will burst due to lack of air and pressure on moon.

Stephen Hawking said recently that if the human race were to survive then we would have to leave this planet before it is destroyed by a meteor, nuclear war or the death of the Sun. What planet would we go to? How far away is it? And how long would it take to reach it?
