Is Neil Armstrong still alive

Yes, he is still alive.
For reasons that are only known to himself and possibly his family and close friends, Neil has not been a public figure since aftter the successful first landing on the Moon.

Which is of course, his right to chose to live as he wants and he deserves. His place in History is forever assured and, through his courage and determination as teh first human to step on another planet, he has done as much as any person to change that history and open up a future of wonderful possibilities.

Buzz Aldrin, on the other hand, has been an indefatigable proponent of space exploration and settlement and has been very much in the public light.

"Armstrong's authorized biography, First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong, was published in 2005. For many years, Armstrong turned down biography offers from authors such as Stephen Ambrose and James A. Michener. He agreed to work with James R. Hansen after reading one of Hansen's other biographies" (Wikipedia). I expect that you could learn a great deal from reading this. The article on him in Wikipedia also explains his reluctance to be a celebrity, although "recluse" is an overstatement. As to why there are moon landing deniers, just like Holocaust deniers and evolution deniers, I simply do not understand.

Yes, he is still alive at 76 years old although he had his ring finger torn off in a 1979 farm accident (shades of Frodo).
