I mean they just considered it as a White Dwarf now. Plus we would have to make a new theme to memorize the eight planets, and what about the books in school, wouldn't they be wrong now if they had Pluto as our planet? This sucks

That there is life on other planets? Or do you believe in Aliens? Why do you think there's so many other planets? For there to be this huge galaxy out there and to only believe we can only live on just one planet is crazy. Do you think there is anything else beyond our galaxy like another time dimension? Please be serious...

What are your thoughts. It has been a planet for so long do you think it is worth changing?

And will they have learned something about not passing on and spreading disinformation without checking first whether it is true or not?

Or have the many contributors who have patiently and endlessly explained to them why it is a hoax and how the solar system actually works been completely wasting their time?

Is gullibility a curable disease in other words?

I believe the criteria used to determine whether a celestial body is a planet is overly complex and should be simplified. We're pulling human factors into determination. Size, mass, SHAPE, and composition should NOT be factored into the determination. Alien worlds must be given alien consideration - not a dogmatic narrow view based on human experiences.

Simply put, a planet should have two things:

1. A planet should maintains an orbit within a system. Otherwise it can be classified as an asteriod or comet.

2. A planet can be a statellite to zero or more stars. It cannot be a satellite to another planet.

What is your opinion? What criteria should be used to determine a planet?

2003UB313 is farther away from the Sun, but it's larger than Pluto.

The center of gravity between Pluto and Charon is between the bodies, so isn't Charon as much of a planet as Pluto?

Can anyone confirm whether Pluto and Neptune will ever be in close enough proximity to collide within the lifetime of the Sun?

(You will have to excuse me for not being aware of each planet's coordintes relative to the Sun, their velocities, factors that may affect such measuremants, etc.)

I have to write a speech for comm. class and it is a how to speech and I need ideas on how to prevent, escape and cope with aliens abductions. They can be humorous they don't have to be serious. I already heard they are afraid of vaccumes so that kind of information will be helpful. Thankyou.

With the decision on Pluto finalized, let's get on with our lives.

What about "Xena". It's bigger than Pluto and doesn't come withing 7 AUs of Neptune. Let's get this one done right.

If we discover later on down the road that the only way to survive extended deep space missions is to download our brain into a computer, would you be willing to let go of your body to be able to travel to distant galaxies?

Last night I was out on my patio at like 4 am i saw 2 bright flashes of light coming from the sky, then it went away. It kind of looked like a shooting star but it had no bright streak behind it and it happened twice. Then i saw it again about five visual inches from where it first was and it flashed 3 times. I know it wasnt a plane because no light on a plane is that bright and they always have some other light that is always on so I couldve seen it moving but I didnt. Could this of been a satellite cruising around the orbit of the planet and turning so it reflected the sun?

Since Pluto is not a planet anymore, we cant use the "My very excellent mother just sent us nine pizzas" sentence to learn the planets. What would be a good sentence to replace it?
