I'm writing a trebuchet report for Physics and I need to find the potential energy and kinetic energy of the trebuchet (the kinetic energy right when my projectile leaves the sling).

Also I need to answer the questions:

If all potential energy is used, and projectile launched at 45 degree angle, what would be max range?

What is the mechanical advantage of the trebuchet?

If you can help, thank you!

So, supposedly the ice in Greenland is starting to melt.
If you go to Google Earth and click on satellite image, then zoom in on Greenland, you will see something quite inexplicable emerging from under the ice.
They say that it is 50 miles long.

What in the heck do you think it is???

If I use a charge controller for a 12v battery that limits the voltage and Amps would my battery die if I am using more volts and amps than the charge controller is allowing to run into the battery? Basically I want to run applications of the battery through an inverter but the applications use a lot of volts and amps. I want to charge the battery with a simple generator that creates plenty of energy but I have been told just running it into the battery would damage it so I need a charge controller that limits the voltage to 14-15 volts and 20amps but my applications use more than that. So would my battery go dead or would it take more energy the lower the battery level is?

OK. SO, Ff= (mu)Fn (also known as the FUN equation-as likely as not!) anyways, i know the Fn, and i need to find the frictional force. Then there is this EVIL coefficient of friction. and this is where i crumble. so i have the coefficient of static friction and the coefficient of kinetic friction (this is all about a block of wood sliding across a table by the way) and now i need to know the frictional force. BUT to find the frictional force, i need the coefficient of Friction. HOw do i find this?? do i use the kinetic coefficient? What does this mean?? PLEASE HELP ME. thank you very much

Solve 2^(3x - 6) = 8

2^(3*3 - 6) = 8

2^(9-6) = 8

2^(9-6) = 8 is equivalent to 2^(3)

My teacher said i solved this through the process of elimination and asked how to solve if I didn't know x = 3.

What does she mean - please explain .

And to all the sarcastic people, who are going to say "because your able to use your eyes" thats not what i mean, when you look into a mirror how does it give you a image of you back, grrr..kinda hard to say but what makes a mirror give a reflection of the enviroment, like if i stand in front of my bathroom mirror why do i see myself? When i look at the wall i dont see my reflection? so anybody know this and thanks.

Find net force on the ring..?
There are four forces acting on a ring.
Force A is 20 lbs at an angle of 20 degree relative to the horizontal.
Force B is 20 lbs at an angle of 50 degrees relative to the horizontal.
Force C is 15 lbs at an angle of 30 degrees below the horizontal.
Force D is 30 lbs at an angle of 70 degrees below the horizontal.
What is the net force on the ring?
