My professor was giving us lecture about this logarithm chapter. He does mention that most important properties for log is - it's never equal to 1 and >o. And all of a sudden he goes like "try to find a solution for log(-1)".
Now I'm trying my best to get something. Can anybody out there help me? Even if you don't know the solution. Give me at least something that you know might be a possibility. Please friends, I need it.
Thanks,

Consider the given parabola. x=4y-y^2

The area of the region that lies to the right of the y-axis and to the left of the parabola (the shaded region in the figure) is given by the following integral. (Turn your head clockwise and think of the region as lying below the curve x = 4y - y2 from y = 0 to y = a = 4.)

4y-y^2 dy from 0 to 4

find the area

So, if you have an obtuse triangle with the coordinates being E(-8.00, 8.00) C(8.00,8.00) and D(0.00, -4.00) (E and D are base angles.) what are the equations to find the circumcenter, centroid and orthocenter? and where do the lines intersect at?

Before the atom bomb was first exploded, the scientists thought about the possibility of setting the atmosphere on fire, or that the fission would spread. Similarly, partlcle physics research is on the edge of the unknown. It is at least possible that if the energy is high enough, we would release some catastrophic force.

Is the possibility being discussed?
