Multiply both sides by 100 because there are two digits in the repeating part.

so 100x = 73048.1010 now subtract the two equations giving us

99x = 72317.62 now multiply by 100 we have and we have 9900 x= 7231762 so dividing by 9900 gives us 7231762/9900 which is 3615881/4950 check to see if this reduces any further.

If you divide this you should get the original number.
