But what about the 30 on the left side....so confusing! I don't get it yet. Can u teach me pls.

some people say this is a myth, but this makes sense as some tumors become malignant for some reason at some point. So if biopsy shows the tumor is benign u will have to repeat this biopsy (every month? as some malignant cancers can kill within 3 months like thyroid anaplastic cancer) to make sure it did not get malignant yet - so what's the point in this procedure unless u actually have malignant cancer in the first place?

And I was behind the moon, with the right timing to put the earth in between the moon and the sun, so the moon fit perfectly in between. (just look at the picture)

What does this tell you about the universe and the singlarity of everything?

A 100 g ball is attached to a rubber tube and is spun around in a circle at a rate of one revolution every second. A force of 0.5 N is required to stretch the tube 1.0 cm.
(a) If the original length is L = 1.0 m, what will be the change in length of the rubber tube when the ball is revolving?
(b) How much energy do you expend to bring the ball off the ground to a height of 2.5m and then get it swinging at a rate of one revolution every second? Neglect the mass of the rubber tube.

A 70kg diver steps off a 10m tower and drops, from rest, straight down into the water. If he comes to rest 5.0m below the surface, determine the average resistance force exerted on him by the water.

I'm pretty much bamboozled. If you could include the steps to get the answer, that would be awesome!
Thanks!

I seem to be having huge difficulties with setting up a probability transition matrix for a Markov chain. I'm not sure where to start or what to do, especially if it's beyond basic.

For example, how would I construct a matrix for:
Suppose that if it has rained for the past 3 days, then it will rain today with probability 0.8; if it did not rain for the past 3 days then it will rain today with probability 0.2; and in anyother case the weather today will, with probability 0.6, be the same as the weather yesterday.

I just can't seem to wrap my head around how to do this...

The launching mechanism of a toy gun consists of a spring of unknown spring constant. If its spring is compressed a distance of 0.120 m and the gun fired vertically as shown, the gun can launch a 20.0 g projectile to a maximum height of 20.0 m above the starting point of the projectile.

(a) Neglecting all resistive forces, determine the spring constant.

(b) Neglecting all resistive forces, determine the speed of the projectile as it moves through the equilibrium position of the spring (where x = 0)
