How will this field look like by the year 2015?
How will it look like by 2030?

Up or down in terms of demand and pay?

I don't know much about it but I was considering Geology as a field and petroleum geologists have a decent salary, but I was wondering if it would fluctuate up or down depending on the oil demand.

I have been trying this question for close to two hours now and have gotten it incorrect three time. I would appreciate any help!

The spring has a constant of 30 N/m and the frictional surface is .3 m long with a coefficient of friction μ = 1.02. The 4 kg block depresses the spring by 17 cm, then is released. The first drop is 1.4 m and the second drop is 1 m. How far from the bottom of the cliff does it land? Answer in units of m.

I posted the same question on cramster so I could draw you a picture. http://answerboard.cramster.com/phys...-151971-0.aspx

I tried to find the energy stored in when it is compressed at distance 1 by doing
w = Fd ...w = (30)(.17)
After that, I tried to find the time it took to fall at both place, but I fell short of information.
And then I tried to athe formula I found in my book but I wasn't sure what went where. Now I am at a dead end and am extremely confused. Will someone please help?!?!!

When a group of researchers crossbreed Group 1 of Obese mice, with normal mice, they got ¾ normal, and ¼ obese mice. When they mated the obese mice with another obese mice in the original group, they got 100% obese mice. This means that the obese mice is recessive.
Group two did the same to their group of obese mice.
But when group one obese mice and group two obese mice mated, all the mice (100%), became normal. Instead of getting obese mice, why are they all normal mice?

Can you please help me understand how the answer of this question is (7π /15)?

The question is: Let R be the region bounded by y=x^2, y=0, and x=1. Compute the volume of the solid formed by revolving R about the line y=1.

I know that V=π (integral sign) A(x)^2 dx.

So I want to set it up as V= π (int) sqrt(x) dx with interval [1,0]. However, it's not working out. Can somebody please enlighten me?

I want to make something like a crystal radio to light up a small LED. I am not near a station, so I am guessing it wont be enough to power an LED, so what if I use a capacitor to collect the energy and then only light up the LED for a few seconds at a time?

Is this possible and if it is how can I do it?
