No, they don't all have the same length to width ratio.
For example, a rectangle with length 6 and width 4 is similar to a rectangle with length 12 and width 8. The length to width ratio in each case is 3/2. But a 6 x 4 rectangle would not be similar to, say, a 5 x 4 rectangle.

All rectangles are similar because they have four sides, not necessarily the same length. Rectangles have a straight side from point A to point B, a straight side from point B to point C, a straight side from point C to point D, and a straight side from point D back to point A. If all side are of equal length, then it is a square. Therefore, a square can be a rectangle, but a rectangle may not be necessarily be a square.

well squares are rectangles.
say you have a square and a rectangle longer horizontally then verticly. are they similar?
Nope they're not.
They have to be the same shape but can be any size.
Like the example the other guy gave.
