if a ball is thrown vertically upward from the roof of 64 foot building with a velocity of 48ft/sec, its height after t seconds is s(t) = 64 + 48t - 16t^2. What is the maximum height the ball reaches? ___
What is the velocity of the ball when it hits the ground (height 0)

In what year the Mayan's calendar predicts the end of the world, and what do they mean by that? Did the Yucatan penisula really got hit by a meteor thousand of years ago ?

In the years of 1922, 1912, 1902, 1892 they didn't keep really good records but I am doing a science project about them!

I am trying to figure out about the Austin Texas, Electra Texas, Wyoming, and anywhere else they had a tornado in 1922
And in 1912 I know there was two tornados in Creighton Missouri and Yukon Oklahoma but I am looking for more and Creighton and Yukon's place of fujita scale

And for the other years 1902 and 1892 I am trying to figure out what tornadoes they had that year and stuff about them.

Do you know anything about the area where you live and if they had a tornado in this year? Or do you know any info about the tornados above? Thanks!

Hey people...i got another question, that i was curious about....

- I live in a suburban area where there are countless deer; i can seen herds walking across my back yard....

- I've also had a few close encounters with them as well, as we were staring each other down at 20yrds distance...

- I was wondering: which gender of deer has the potential to induce the MOST damage, in a physical confrontation?

I gathered these facts down:
Doe
-Extremely strong fawn-protection
- more aggressive of the two
- damaging hooves

Buck
-Less aggressive
-larger in stature
- damaging hooves
-considerable sized antlers

so tell me your opinion as to which one is more deadly

In synthetic division and long division is it possible for there to be a zero remainder or no remander at all so
my answer w/ out a remainder would look like -1x+10x-25
and with a remainder it would look like 3x+2x+5-23/x+5

I really am not sure my question is really can a problems answer have no remainder at all?

Solve. and then unscramble your answers (when you convert into letters) for the next clue. These are probably easy, but it is the first step!

1. 4(5x-6)=-20+19x

2. 8x=16x-64

3. Square Root of 49

4. Square Root of 25

5. Square Root of 81 divided by 3

1=O

2=Z

3=L

4=K

5=R

6=T

7=A

8=S

9=T

10=P

"WE" are not at the center of the Universe.... yet what I read says that ALL the other galaxies are moving AWAY from us..... how is that possible?.... isn't there ANY that are moving along toward us?.....

since we're in the arm of the Milky Way, I'm assuming that the stars in one of the other arms or in ours are moving toward us...yes?...

but no galaxies?... then who's overtaking who between us and Andromeda, for when we're supposed to collide?....

thanks for clearing up my fog....

A balloon filled with 31.9 mol helium has a volume of 715. L at 0.0°C and 1.00 atm pressure. The temperature of the balloon is increased to 68.0°C as it expands to a volume of 893. L, the pressure remaining constant. Calculate q, w, and E for the helium in the balloon. (The molar heat capacity for helium gas is 20.8 J/°C·mol.)

A 1.397 g sample of thymol, C10H14O(s) (a preservative and a mold and mildew preventative), is burned in a bomb calorimeter assembly. The temperature increase is 11.23°C, and the heat capacity of the bomb calorimeter is 4.68 kJ/°C. What is the heat of combustion of thymol, expressed in kilojoules per mole of C10H14O?

Salicylic acid, C7H6O3, has been suggested as a calorimetric standard. Its heat of combustion is -3.023 103 kJ/mol C7H6O3. From the following data determine the heat capacity of a bomb calorimeter assembly (that is, the bomb, water, stirrer, thermometer, wires, and so forth).

mass of salicylic acid burned: 1.111 g
initial calorimeter temperature: 23.07°C
final calorimeter temperature: 29.55°C

All you are given is the lengths of the medians. You don't know what angles they make with each other. Is it possible to construct a triangle with this information.

What about if you are given only the three altitudes? Can you construct the triangle?
