26 can be the odd one out because it is the only
one of the form 4k+2 and the only number
which is the product of 2 primes.
11 could also be the odd one out because it is
the only one of the form 4k+3.
17 could be the odd one out because it is the only
number of the form x^4+1 and the only number
of the form 8k+1.
32 could be the odd one out because it is the only 5th power.
8 could be the odd one out because it is the only cube
and the only even Fibonacci number.
Finally, 5 could be the odd one out because
a). It is the only odd Fibonacci number
b) It is the only number whose square is 2 less
than a cube.
c). It is the only number of the form 8k+5.
So if this was a "multiple guess" question, which
should I pick??

Steamed rice OK.

Aside from the rice and among the infinite possibilities: 32 is odd and out because it can't be a day of the month.
