Consider series of squares 1, 4, 9, 16, 25... The differences are 3, 5, 7, 9... which leads to differences of 2, 2, 2, 2... = 2! The series of cubes 1, 8, 27, 64, 125... similiarly ends up with 6, 6, 6, 6 ... = 3! Etc. It always ends up with n!, n!, n!,.... where n is the power of the original series.

If the global warming predictions are correct, water will be a vast problem and a resource for the world. Like when you get lemons, make lemonade. This might sound stupid but with all the trillions of dollars spent on wars and space exploration shouldn't we start doing some research on pumping the water maybe through pipelines or take out the salt. Use it on dry parched regions of the world. How could it be done? Any ideas?

okay, i have a block on a ramp 34 degrees above the horizontal, of mass 20kg. the ramp and block have a kinetic friction coefficient of 0.44.
the block initially has a velocity of 4.6ms-1 up the ramp.

i need to work out the work done on the block as it slides up to its highest point on the ramp.
i can say that the velocity at its highest point is 0 ms-1.

i have got a diagram drawn of the block on the ramp
mg drawn straight down from the block
mg sin x drawn down the slope
mg cos x drawn at a right angle to the slope

so apart from friction, these would be all the forces i need to consider if the block was just released to slide down the slope.
BUT, it is moving up the slope with that initial velocity.

so could somebody show me how i would go about finding the net force here?
my thoughts are that i have to somehow find out how far the block reaches up the slope before it can go no further, but i dont know how to do this.

a little explanation please? thanks.

Everyone knows that chickens lay eggs which hatch and become chickens but I have never heard of how a rooster is created. Does anyone know? Is it cross-breeding like a mule (horse and donkey) or do some of the chicken eggs contain roosters instead of chickens?

I was in hospital once and given 'Cyclizine' for nausea. It made me what I can only describe as "hyper-aroused". For example, when somebody came around the corner to see me, it was like having an electric current put through my body! A real startled feeling. I also have it with Prochloperazine (Stemetil™), and the anti-depressant Mirtazapine (Remeron™) which I have recently been prescribed. I'd like to know what is causing this? I only get it with medications that have anti-histamine properties though. It's getting to the point now that somebody has only got to call my name from behind me, and I jump out of the chair as an involuntary reaction.

Probably it is the lack of water, since human can last a few days without food but aproximately two without water, but what exactly? I was wondering what is the exact reason of death. All biologists are very welcome to answer talking biological.

I watched this movie about these dudes that didn't make it through the desert, what a gruesome death. It got me wondering.
