I know that I use SSS, SAS, ASA, HL, and AAS to see if two triangles are
congruent. I also know that SSA is not supposed to be used. The basic way
to use it is using HL, with a right triange. I also was told there was
another example of two congruent traingles with SSA that are not right
triangles.

A tennis ball is launched with an initial velocity of 24.5 m/s from the edge of a cliff that is 117.6 meters above the ground. Which quadratic equation could be used to correctly determine when the ball will hit the ground:

4.9t2 + 24.5t + 117.6 = 0
-4.9t2 - 24.5t + 117.6 = 0
-4.9t2 + 24.5t - 117.6 = 0
4.9t2 + 24.5t - 117.6 = 0
-4.9t2 + 24.5t + 117.6 = 0

could you please explain how u got your answer?

the only materials that can be used are cardboard, tape and glue. the project must be a light weight because the more the project weighs in GRAMS the more points taken off from 650. so it has to weigh as light as possible. the project will FREE FALL from the top of the bleachers of high school stands. the project must hit the target below and there will be a time limit of getting the egg out of the project and if the egg breaks in that process, it's a fail. There shouldn't be anything on the egg (no tape, no glue) when presenting it to the teacher before the egg is dropped and after it is dropped. the teacher should be able to take a sharpie marker and make a mark on the egg while the egg is in the project before it is dropped. this project is due Oct 26, 2007! please help!!!

Okay, for anyone that is good at linear programming, I have a question. Well, there's this problem I'm stuck on, and I need help on a few things on it. Here's the problem:
X is the mathematician for Y's Oil Refinery. Y can buy Texas oil, priced at $30 a barrel, and California oil, priced at $15 per barrel. He consults X, the mathematician, to find out what is the most he might have to pay in a month for the oil the refinery uses. Sabrina finds the following restrictions on the amounts of oil that can be purchased in a month. The refinery can handle as much as 40,000 barrels per month.
To stay in business, the refinery must process at least 18,000 barrels a month. California oil has 6 pounds of impurities per barrel, while Texas oil has 2 pounds. The most the refinery can handle is 120,000 pounds of impurities a month. Y spends at least $660,000 per month buying oil.

What would be the constraints for this problem? That's all I need to know. I think I did something wrong.

Thanks

I was told that aluminum cans need to be full size in order for the magnets to induce current into the cans better and give enough force to adequately separate them. I did a search and could not find any info verifying this. It seems odd to me that it would make that much of a difference or that the equipment couldn't be designed to work well with crushed cans.
