Renal blood vessels are the ones that travel to and from the kidneys. The amount of oxygen would be almost identical before entering the kidney (renal artery) as it would after leaving the kidney (renal vein). The kidneys would use just a small amount of the oxygen in the blood. The major change would be that wastes, primarily urea, water, and salts (the components of urine) would have been removed from the blood by the filtration process in the kidneys.

So, in short...
Renal arteries: Bring blood carrying wastes (urea, excess water, salt) to the kidneys.
Renal veins: Carry "cleaner" blood back from the kidneys to the rest of the body.

Blood in the renal vein will contain less oxygen and more carbon dioxide. The kidneys do use alot of energy in respiration. Water is filtered out of the blood when it first enters the kidney, and most of it is taken back into the blood stream by active transport.
The blood in the renal vein will contain no urea as that should have been removed. Also, excess salts will be removed in the kidney too.

Blood in the renal vein just comes out of the kidneys. It has less water, urea and other metabolic wastes (mostly in the form of organic acid or base), and potassium. Sodium and nutrients are mostly reabsorbed. Since water is always excreted, the blood in the renal vein is always more concentrated than the blood in the renal artery.
