I had a 96.6% in my biology class, and i took a test which i got an 85% on. After this 85% my grade dropped to an 89.8%. How much percent of my total grade would the test have to be for my grade to drop 7%!?

Also, does anyone else think this is completely ridiculous??

For the equation given below, evaluate y' at the point (1, 9).

y / [ x - 7y ] = x^4 + 9

so im working on implicit differentials now and i swear it's the one concept that is brainfuckling me. i've finagled my way through a few problems, but im utterly lost on how to do this one.

I would like to know if this class called analysis( advanced calculus ) is very very hard. I am taking introduction to advanced mathematics , where these topics are covered: (naive set theory, functions, cardinality, sequences of real numbers and limits. Emphasis on formal proofs.) How hard was the analysis class when you took it? was it like hell ? what about abstract algebra.
I ask this because i dont want to be messing with the wrong major. I like math but when i see the kind of problems that are in those classes , i get a little intimidated.

Ionization energy is defined as the minimum energy required to remove an electron from the ground state (n0) to infinity (n∞). Determine the wavelength of radiation required to ionize the hydrogen electron from the n = 2 energy level. Calculate the energy (Joules) associated with this photon. (1 cm-1 = 1.986 x 10-23 J)

I remember from class that we learned how to do these but there were cases where you had to use cramer's rule. anyways...I'm stuck on this one because I expanded it and then I didn't know what to do. I can't find any examples like that in my notes. I need to know what to do next or if I should have used the dx, dy, dz thing. the problem is

a 0 2 1
b 1 3 0
c 0 1 2
d 1 0 1
