m1 is 1 kg and m2 is 3.5 kg. They are suspended from a frictionless pulley 14.9 m above the ground. The two masses are held even at 1.75 m above the ground. When the masses are released, what is the maximum height that the lighter mass will reach? Help on this would be great. I figured out the acceleration by adding the sum of the forces on m1 to the sum of the forces on m2. Now what do I do to figure out the distance traveled by m1? Do I figure out the time it takes m2 to hit the ground and then do something with that time?

This summer we caught some tadpoles. They were all dinnerent sizes, one of them already had it's back legs. A few weeks after we brought them home, the one with the back legs turned into a frog. We have had the other ones for a few months now, and none of the others have started to change. Someone told me that they only change in a certain season. Is this true??

You have identified the following costs:
Heat Press: 612.50
Shirts in Bulk: 2.50
Transfers to press on shirts: 1.00

Write a function C(x), that gives the total cost of producing shirts: ?

Target Shirt sales, x | Price Per shirt P
500 = 13.5$
900 = 11.5$
1300 = 9.5$
1700=7.5$
2100= 5.5$
2500= 3.5$

Based on that info, write a function p(x) that gives the selling price per shirt that would enable you to sell x shirts during the semester. P(x)???

Explain why the total revenue from the sale of x shirts at a price p(x) dollars per shirt is given by R(x)=16x-.005x^2 where R(x) is in dollars

Since Profit = Revenue - Cost, wrie tthe function P(x), that gives the net profit from the sale of x shirts

Write an inequality for the following: How many t-shirts must you sell to make a profit?

Thank you anyone for any help/answers/advice that you may have to offer. I think I may have some of these answers but I doubt that they're right. Any help is appreciated.

The question is like this:
A student performs a crystallization on an impure sample of biphenyl. The sample weighs 0.5g and contains about 5% impurity. Based on his knowledge of solubility, the student decides to use benzene as the solvent. After crystallization, the crystals are dried and the final weight is found to be 0.02g. Assumes that all steps in the crystallization are performed correctly, there are no spills, and the student lost very little solid on any glassware or in any of the transfers, why is the recovery so low?

In Denver, children bring their old jack-o-lanterns to the top of a tower and compete for accuracy in hitting a target on the ground. Suppose that the tower height is h = 10.80 m, and that the bulls-eye's horizontal distance is d = 3.9 m from the launch point. If the pumpkin is thrown horizontally, what is the launch speed needed to hit the bulls-eye? (Neglect air resistance.)

Thank you very much i have been stuck on this problem for awhile now. God Bless.
