I believe it's a non-linear equation, but am once again stumped. A student charges $7 to wash a window. He washes 15 of them for $35. Write an equation.

Well, I've figured that the 1st window is $7 and all subsequent windows are $2 a piece. I've tried to write the equation so that when you enter a "0" for x, you would get "0," as if the student is washing "0" windows, they will get paid "0" dollars. Now, I just need to figure out how to write the equation.

The one with the most details gets the 10 points, as I am not just looking for the answer, because I want to understand what's going on.

The person who posted this question made reference to the program. I'd like to know who aired it. Somebody somewhere has to know a way to hold these people accountable and make it prohibitively costly for them to continue airing fraudulent documentaries and deliberate lies under the guise of information or investigation. No doubt the money angle, rather than the truth or civic responsibility angle, would be the way to go.

hello i am working on homework for physics since and i came across a question that i cannot solve! if you guys/girls could show me how to solve the following question i will greatly appreciate it

here it is:

a passenger in a hot-air balloon throws a ball with an unknown Vi. The ball accelerates at 9.8 m/s^2 [down] for 2 seconds, at which time its instantaneous velocity is 24 m/s[45 degrees below the horizontal]. Determine the ball's Vi.

the answer in the back of the book is: 17 m/s[10 degrees above the horizontal]

thanks a lot for any help

A rocket is launched at an angle of 50.0° above the horizontal with an initial speed of 103 m/s. The rocket moves for 3.00 s along its initial line of motion with an acceleration of 28.0 m/s2. At this time, its engines fail and the rocket proceeds to move as a projectile.

(a) Find the maximum altitude reached by the rocket.

(b) Find its total time of flight.

(c) Find its horizontal range.

For my lab, we built a ripple counter by hooking the output to the clock of the next JK Filp Flop. Since the rest are unconnected, they all are a vaule of high (or 1 or True or on etc.)

Starting at 0 0 0 0 ( a four bit counter)

When the clock0 goes to 0 to 1, we get 1 for the Q0 on the first bit. Since, Q0 goes from 0 to 1, the Q1 remains the same meaning zero.

Now here's my problem... what is the logic for the remaining bits? My assumpition is since Q1 (or clock2) remains the same, the previous state remains.

So, the main part of the logic is just based the first few bits.
